In 2026, Murdoch Children’s Research Institute (MCRI) celebrates 40 years of life-changing impact for children in Australia and around the world. To mark this milestone, we invite you to an unforgettable black-tie Gala - an evening that honours our legacy and ignites support for the future of child health research.
This special celebration will unite leaders in science, philanthropy, business and the arts to reflect on what has been achieved and to champion the bold discoveries still to come.
The evening
Set within the iconic State Library Victoria, MCRI’s 40th Anniversary Gala will be a refined black-tie experience featuring exceptional hospitality, premium entertainment and powerful storytelling. We will take you on a journey through MCRI’s past, present and future, brought to life through moving stories from families, researchers and supporters.
The evening will feature a bespoke menu curated exclusively by acclaimed chef Guillaume Brahimi, showcasing seasonal produce, elegant flavours and world-class Australian dining.
Why your support matters
While progress in child health has been extraordinary, today’s children face increasingly complex challenges from chronic disease and mental health to inequity and rare conditions. At the same time, advances in genomics, data science and precision medicine offer unprecedented opportunities.
Funds raised through the Gala will support MCRI’s most urgent research priorities, accelerating discoveries that improve the lives of children and families now and into the future.
