Suzy is Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute and Manager of the National Child and Family Hubs Network. Suzy’s work focuses on nationally scaling and sustaining integrated Child and Family Hub models of care (Hubs), which bring together health, education and social services and opportunities for parents to socially connect, to equitably support children (0-12 years) and their families.
Suzy co-founded the National Child and Family Hubs Network, funded by philanthropy to support over 470 Hubs nationally. This Network represents 20 state and national organisations across research, implementation, and policy to support Hubs. The Network aims to build collective capacity of Hubs across Australia and accelerate learnings to ensure quality, evidence-based and equitable services and supports are provided to families via Hubs.
The Network, currently consisting of >1850 members, was launched by Honourable Dr Anne Aly, federal Minister for Early Childhood Education and Minister for Youth and in February 2024. Suzy is also lead on the development and evaluation of a Child and Family eHub, a virtual Hub, to improve access, engagement and use of the existing community, social and mental health services system.
